Running compatibility mode causes the same issue. It will install the Realtek part which seems to cause the reboot.
When trying to manually install the Intell STSS I get an error saying This Operation Requires An Interactive Window.

I have a new dell xps 13. The the microphone works with cortana, but nothing else. If I go to 'recording devices' under sound preferences, it locks up and I lose audio playback as well.
Am now on build 10049. I've tried installing drivers with compatibility mode and I've tried setting them to run in compatibility mode via task manager with no luck.

- Right click on the 'Configure device installation time-out' and click on 'Edit' or double click on the configuration
- On the left, there are three options: Not configured, Enabled and Disabled, select 'Enabled'
